Balance is not a fixed state. It is something we create and recreate, often through the environments we choose to spend time in. Spaces built for reflection offer the conditions that make balance possible: quietness, breathing room, an absence of urgency.
When we design for calm rather than stimulation, we are making a different set of choices about what we want to grow in ourselves. Creativity and clarity do not always come from intensity. Sometimes they emerge from the patient, unhurried conditions that only certain kinds of spaces allow.
